Abstract

In this contribution, polygonal patch antennas for universal mobile telecommunication system (UMTS) and wireless local area network (WLAN) terminals are proposed. Specifically, the paper will concern the development of both an efficient analysis tool based on the method of moments (MoM) and a robust technique to design integrated antennas matching some given requirements. Finally, some examples of designed antennas for UMTS and WLAN applications are presented, showing the capabilities of the proposed techniques in terms of accuracy and efficiency.
