Abstract

Summary Diblock copolymers mPEG-PCL were synthesized and then grafted onto highly branched polyethylenimine (PEI) to prepare ternary copolymers mPEG-PCL-g-PEI with decreased cytotoxicity compared to PEI. The mPEG-PCL-g-PEI could effectively condense siRNA to form small-size nanoparticles ( in vitro to down-regulate the expression of firefly luciferase reporter gene, which suggested that mPEG-PCL-g-PEI could serve as a highly efficient siRNA delivery vector with low cytotoxicity.
