Abstract

There are many reports of small molecules exhibiting amplification spontaneous emission laser properties, but there are few reports of single benzene rings exhibiting laser properties while achieving high solid state emission from polycrystalline states. This work takes two very simple organic molecules and constructs an efficient single benzene ring solid state emitter. The crystal laser properties are based on aggregation‐induced emissions (AIE) generated through an excited‐state intramolecular proton transfer reaction (ESIPT).
