Abstract

It has been widely recognized that the microstructure heterogeneity of welded joints has significant influence on the mechanical performance, which indicates that characterization of microstructure is the key to reveal the mechanical properties. Based on electron backscatter diffraction, the statistical distribution of three-dimensional grain geometric parameters was established by metallographic stereology. Then the observation-parameter statistics modeling method was established according to the ellipsoidal velocity field Voronoi algorithm. And the statistical characteristics of grains in different areas are restored by random dispersion, which verifies the accuracy of the modeling method used for complex structure polycrystalline materials. The uniaxial tensile simulation and experiment are conducted and the consistency of the two results verifies the value of the model for mechanical analysis.
