Abstract

We report on the fabrication of capillary electrophoresis (CE) devices using compression molded polycarbonate (PC) substrates. PC surface modification techniques were developed to control flow properties inside plastic microfluidic channel. The electroosmotic flow (EOF) properties in native and surface modified PC devices were evaluated and compared. The effect of buffer pH and ionic strength on EOF flow and CE separation of DNA molecules were also presented.
