Abstract

Streptococcus pyogenes (group A Streptococcus, GAS), an uncommon cause of septic arthritis, usually presents as monoarticular arthritis and only rarely involves multiple joints in immunocompetent patients [ [1] Dubost J.J. A case of polyarticular septic arthritis caused by S. pyogenes in an immunocompetent adult with no identifiable risk factors is described herein.
