Abstract Extract Sir:— In their paper published in the January February issue or he Journal, Geldard, Scaramuzzi and Wilkins(1) showed that immunization of ewes against polyandroalbumin results in increased lambing and tailing percentages. More consistent increases were achieved with those flocks where the time scale of treatments in relation to ram joining fell within recommended limits. For optimum lambing results the schedule should consist of two injections in the first year spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart, followed by a “boost to join” interval of 2 to 4 weeks before the introduction of the rams. The latter interval is the more critical of the two. (The interval recommended for New Zealand is 3 to 4 weeks.)
