Abstract
AbstractThe aim of this work has been to obtain a biologically harmless composition on the basis of suspension polyvinyl chloride resin. The authors were trying to select adequate plastifiers and stabilizers and to determine their optimum quantitative relations. Of various types of plastifiers, esters and polyesters of the selected acids were tested. Metallic soaps and organotin compounds were investigated as stabilizers. The polyvinyl chloride composition was first investigated under laboratory conditions and then tested on living animals. About 20 compositions were subjected to experimental tests on 250 dogs in all. On the basis of the results obtained a polyvinyl chloride composition was selected, the implantation of which causes a minimum reaction of the organism.
