Abstract

Poly(silyl ester)s [OCO(CH 2 ) 4 COOSiR 2 -O-SiR 2 ] n (R= Me, i-Pr, Ph) have been synthesized by transsilylation polymerization betweeb bis(trimethylsilyl) adipate and 1,3-dichloro tetrasubstituted disiloxanes. The resistance of the polymers to hydrolysis and alcoholysis was found to depend on the nature of the R substituent
