Abstract
Results of corrective measures against pollution caused by 3 large paper and pulp mills, employed under court-appointed monitor; measures included construction of storage lagoons for sulphite liquor with controlled discharge, regulated production of sulphite pulp, changes in manufacturing processes, application of NaNO 3 to pool, and analyses of river water; decrease of pollution and nearly complete correction of odor nuisance was achieved.
