Abstract

The author reflects on election polls and public health research in relation to the 2016 U.S. presidential election and voters' selection of American businessman Donald Trump as the 45th president of the U.S. The author's views about American presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who lost to Trump in 2016, are examined, including her inability to reach population subgroups in Wisconsin and other parts of the U.S. Public health interventions and surveys are also assessed.
