Abstract

On Beninese television, TV series are making remarkable progress in the ranking of the most viewed productions. Whether in Benin in particular or in Africa in general, serial dramas are increasingly appreciated for their effectiveness. By promoting the series Aziza, the Office de Radiodiffusion et Television du Benin (ORTB), has managed to satisfy viewers appetite for this type of program. Series such as Aziza, confirm that African productions can now reach diverse audiences across the continent and around the world. From the analysis of the series Aziza, we will examine how its director and main actor rehabilitates an emblematic myth to make it a creative principle of serial dynamics.
