Abstract

The Introduction situates the volume in relation to political theology, a political theology on edge, or on the edge, of something new and transformative. The editors lay out the vision of the book, which is a changed understanding of political theology that is not derived from or limited by Carl Schmitt. This political theology is eschatological in its confrontation with anthropogenic climate change, neoliberal capitalism, race and racism, and questions of religion and theology in multiple perspectives from diverse traditions. The Introduction also summarizes each of the chapters.
