Abstract

We will give particular attention to theoretical foundations for environmental policy and its evaluation, the political context of environmental policy, principles of administering environmental policies. We will not attempt a comprehensive survey of local state, national, or international environmental problems, institutions, or laws, but we will look briefly at a few to provide practical examples of general points and to illustrate the breadth and complexity of policy making in this area.
