Abstract

This paper is an attempt to scrutinise the websites of the two leading national political parties in India: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Indian National Congress (INC). The effort is to examine the presence of these political parties on the social media and how the parties are connecting with the public. Issues occurring in the calendar months between April and June 2014 have been taken into consideration to compare and contrast the methods adopted by both the political parties in their communication strategies through the Internet.
