Abstract

Political correctness is a social vision that includes feminism, multiculturalism, gay liberation, and affirmative action. Liberal ideals are at the heart of this social vision — and this explains its success. But despite its liberal inspiration, political correctness has a tendency to betray its liberal instincts in favour of the newfangled assumptions of postmodernism — and this explains its failure.
