Abstract

The purpose of this publication is a systematic analysis of the political and legal category “political hatred” in the sphere of civil public space, as well as in the law enforcement and judicial investigative practice of modern Russia. The main general scientific methods that are used to achieve this goal are systemic, normative and comparative research methods, elements of logical analysis, as well as such private empirical methods as discourse analysis, content analysis and monitoring of digital discourse of government and society. Topicality of the issue under consideration lies in the fact that in the context of the conduct of the Ukraine conflict, the number of criminal cases classified on the grounds of “political hatred” has sharply increased in judicial investigative practice. At the same time, in existing legal acts and in the scientific literature on political and legal issues, a detailed categorical analysis of the concept of “political hatred”, its features and content is almost completely absent. The authors of this article tried to eliminate this objectively arising gap by developing, on the basis of theoretical analysis and study of law enforcement practice, their own vision of the emerging situation and interpretation of the political and legal category of “political hatred”.
