Abstract
ABSTRACT This research focused on better understanding how social media are used in politics in the context of dividing historical event such as the Martial Law in Poland in 1981. A mixed method approach was used, including content analysis and logistic regression. The results showed that while there is a difference in which parties post about Martial Law in social media, the content and the sentiment of the discussion is quite similar. Readers' interaction was connected with the content's publication time. This study showed how political debate differs between social media and traditional media while presenting the antecedents of users' interaction.
