AbstractThis chapter, Policy and programs: Crystallising Framework principles traces key influences on formation in Australia and examines these in relation to the National Catholic Education Commission position informed through program delivery and reflection. Formation in this light is an experience of continuous renewal, ‘Come to the water’ (Isaiah 55:1) shaped by three fundamental principles: foundations in faith (encounter Jesus, Gospel, and Church Tradition within the experience of formation); practices (inclusivity, professional and witness); and, outcomes (transformation, sacred awareness, relationships, and missionary discipleship).KeywordsAustraliaCatholicPolicyResearchFoundationsPracticesOutcomes
