Abstract

Chemotherapy administration is a very critical issue in dealing and treating cancer patients. As well as it’s a very important period in the cancer patient's life. As it's well known that chemotherapy had very distressing side effects that interfere with the patient's quality of life. Nurses must be able to know how to deal with these toxic agents and apply the best evidence based practices in preparing and administration of chemotherapy. In order to maximize the benefit for the patient, protect the patients from any harm, and to protect the nurse him/herself legally and physically. Therefore, a critical analysis of the chemotherapy preparation and administration, initiated in this paper, in regards to, the national, and international policies, and guideline in chemotherapy preparation, and administration, in order to come out with a conclusion about the validity of this policy been analyzed. In conclusion the current policy was consistent with the national, and international guidelines, with the addition of some recommendations.
