Abstract

ABSTRACT The sound-alike and look-alike (SALA) drug is one of the most common causes of medication error and is of fear globally. Thus, the probability for error due to confusing drug names is very high. The SALA drug names have become a significant challenge to pharmacists, nurses, patients, and doctors. With thousands of drugs currently on the market, the probability for error is significant.
