Abstract
This paper describes the many-layered training system of the modern-day Russian Militia. Special emphasis is placed upon the Training Centers, Special Secondary Schools for Training, High Schools of the Militia, and the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. To place this training apparatus in perspective the recruitment process and staffing problems of the police are discussed.
