Abstract

The drift mobilities of the quasi-one-dimensional halogen-bridged mixed-valence platinum complexes, were measured on both the pure and halogen-doped samples by the pulsed photoconductivity technique. The results show that the hopping mechanism dominates the electric conduction and that the halogen dopants produce hole polarons on chains and the ionized dopants entered between the chains become a hopping center.
