Abstract
The cylotron resonance spectrum of electrons coupled to interface and slab optical phonon modes in a GaAs/AlAs quantum well structure is studied in the presence of a high magnetic field. The position of the Landau levels and the magneto-optical absorption spectrum for cyclotron resonance are calculated. We find that in narrow GaAs/AlAs quantum wells a substantial coupling of the electron to the interface phonons shows up near the LO and TO-phonon modes of GaAs and AlAs and in this region the cyclotron resonance spectrum deviates appreciably from the result with coupling only to bulk LO-phonons.
