Abstract

Cadmium was estimated amperometrically using K4Fe (CN)6 as titrating agent, with an experimental inaccuracy of ± 0·5 per cent. In citrates employed as supporting electrolyte for the reduction at d.m.e. of Cd2+, the presence of Ni2+, Co2+ and Bi3+ did not interfere with the estimation, due to the formation of more stable citrate complexes of Ni2+, Co2+ and Bi3+ than the corresponding ferrocyanide complexes.
