Abstract

The helicity difference of the photon structure function is discussed, using Altarelli-Parisi-type equations and the Nicolaidis technique. The spin asymmetry in the photon photoproduction $\ensuremath{\gamma}p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}X$ is then calculated. Also discussed are the contributions originating from three kinds of subprocesses: Compton scattering, photon structure type, and fragmentation type.
