Abstract

A theoretical study of polarization outputs of a polarization-maintaining fiber ring resonator with a photoinduced birefringent grating written in the whole fiber loop is presented. The polarization conversion due to the photoinduced birefringent grating can stabilize the resonator output, especially the separation between the resonance points. The dependence of the parameters of the photoinduced birefringent grating on the polarization output of the ring resonator is investigated.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
