Abstract
The polarization switching process was investigated in soft and hard PZT ceramics. The frequency dependence of the polarization revealed a relaxation process, which was related to 90° domain walls. The results reveled that the domain reorientation is strongly dependent of the kind of defects and their distribution into the lattice. An evidence of an upper frequency limit for the coercive field was observed.
