Abstract
The polarization-phase method for determining the angle of pitch of an aircraft by horizontally polarized radio beacon signals is considered. The radio beacon signals are received onboard the aircraft in a circular polarization basis. The pitch angle of the aircraft is estimated from the phase difference of the orthogonally polarized components of the received radio beacon signals.
