Abstract

First results on single and double polarization observables on polarized neutrons have been obtained using the polarized HD target and the CLAS detectors at the Hall-B of the Thomas Jefferson Laboratory. The author reports on her studies of the classification of polarization observables, neutron detector calibration and HD target set-up. Data analysis has been optimized for the gamma+n -> pi+ pi- n events selection on quasi-free target . Boosted-decision-tree techniques have been studied and applied for the selection of final gamma+n -> rho + n -> pi+ pi- n events. First results on polarization observables are reported.
