Abstract

A measurement of the polarization function P(θ) in n−4He scattering has been made at a neutron energy of 50.4 MeV. Previous measurements of P(θ) for this reaction extend only up to 30.3 MeV. The new polarization data are compared with published p−4He polarization data at 52.3 MeV and are used with the p−4He cross‐section and polarization data to search for a set of phase‐shifts at 50 MeV.
