Abstract

Polarization labelling spectroscopy is applied to study excited states of K 2 lying in the energy range 23800–25800 cm −1 above the bottom of the ground state. The two observed states are identified as 3 1Π u(4 2S+5 2P) and 3 1Σ u + (4 2S+3 2D). Molecular constants are derived for both states from a Dunham expansion.
