Abstract
In the following paper the polarization of the recoil protons in π±p scattering above 2.9 GeV/c incident pion momentum is calculated. Under the assumption of a spin-independent diffraction and a OBE contribution one obtains a rather big polarization, which is positive for π+p and negative for π-p scattering.
