Abstract
The polarization dependence of the stimulated photon echo due to excitons has been studied in GaSe. A quantum beat modulation can be observed in the stimulated photon echo signals. The polarization dependence of the quantum beat is also studied. The quantum beat and the polarization interference are experimentally distinguished by the time-integrated stimulated photon echo.
