Abstract

The aim of article is to identify model of progress and modernity in popular Polish magazines such as ”Płomyk”, ”Młody Technik” and ”Dziś i Jutro” from 1919-1939, also to describe educational goals of contents from a field of science, motorization, radio-broadcasting, sport, health and recreation. The author has made the attempt to prove relationships of science articles with the idea of progress popularized in all areas of life in the interwar period. The article is supportive for recognition of educational goals of youth magazines, in circumstances when their goals were possibly correlated with school curriculum and dominant nurturing values of researched period.
