Abstract
The article discusses the issue of the sending-receiving stylization competence. By sending stylization competence the author means the ability to use stylization operations in artistic texts while receiving competence is the ability to read those texts adequately and completely. The author proposes specific research procedure which enables the exploration and consequently comprehensive description of stylization competences of the authors and recipients of artistic messages, which material of one of components is verbal code. The author also shows the utility of this procedure in the researches over linguistic stylization (mainly historical) in the film dialogues.
