Abstract
ABSTRACT The Orange County (Florida) Library System is utilizing wireless technologies such as wireless communication devices and handheld computers to create a new service paradigm that enables library staff to offer proactive and customer-friendly point-of-need service to public library patrons. This paper discusses planning and implementation of the point-of-need service paradigm in the Orange County Library System.
