Abstract

Pattern recognition based on the comparison of structured data with some standard information (template matching), i.e., the so-called comparative recognition, plays a dominant role in many problems of processing signals. In this article, methods of preliminary clusterization of sets of templates (standard patterns) are used. These methods provide a decrease in the number of comparison operations in recognizing patterns. Some properties of invertibility of point-set mappings are investigated.
