Abstract

An Andreev-reflection study is presented on point contacts with the high- T c superconductor (Hg 0.7Cr 0.3)Sr 2CuO 4 with a critical temperature near 60 K. The normal-metal—superconductor point contacts show a clear superconducting gap structure in the d V/d I( V) spectra with gap parameter Δ=10–15 meV yielding 2 Δ/ k B T c= 3.4–5.1. The temperature dependence of the Andreev-reflection spectra was analyzed within the Blonder—Tinkham—Klapwijk model by the introduction of a broadening parameter Γ.
