Abstract

Abstract Pogonus nigrescens sp. n. is described from the western slope of the Atherton Tableland, north Queensland, and is compared with the other pigmented species of Pogonus Nicolai of Australia. The discovery of the well known species Pogonus cardiotrachelus Chaudoir as far north as the Hamersley Ranges, Western Australia, is reported.
