Poetry Techniques in J. Francis Kruba’s Poems

Abstract

We know that there are many methods for traditional poetry through texts such as Tolkappiyam, Thandiyalankaram etc. But the literature of this period, the new and modern poetry, does not seem to have clear, systematic strategies. Even if there is an idea that modernity is bound by traditions, it is not too much if it survives from the roots of traditions. Strategies for choosing language to express ideas. Strategy is the method of conveying. Choosing literature in language and choosing poetry in that literature is the same strategy. The strategy occupies a unique place in the mind of the readers as it takes the idea to imprint it deeply. In this way, the techniques found in the poems of the poet J.Francis Kruba, who has a special place for himself in the modern poetry literature, can be seen through this article.
