Abstract

Abstract: Today's generation of students are not like previous generations: they are creators, they are mobile, they communicate in short videos and 145 characters. And they listen to podcasts, get hacks from TikTok, and do not watch the evening news. This article discusses the creation of a DePaul University class in the College of Communication Public Relations and Advertising program (PRAD) in which students delve into contemporary issues in public relations and advertising while creating podcast episodes, a modern communications medium that is a big part of their daily lives.
