Abstract
We have been working on reduced-order modeling (ROM) using proper orthogonal decomposition for various types of nonlinear complicated problems. In the previous study, we developed a ROM analysis system for fluid-rigid body interaction problem. The system was based on an arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian method and the coupling method was a Dirichlet-Neumann method. The present study extended the previous study to ROM for fluid-structure interaction problem. The proposed analysis system in this study included three sub-analysis systems: fluid analysis, structural analysis, and the analysis for fluid mesh update. The reduced-order models for these three systems are constructed by ROM and coupled by a partitioned iterative method.
