Abstract

The clinical significance of HPIN and/or ASAP based on transrectal ultrasound guided biopsy (TRUS Bx) remains controversial. We reviewed the predictors for detection of and pathological features associated with prostate cancer (CaP) on repeat biopsy and the subsequent CaP detection rate for patients with prior diagnosis of HPIN, ASAP, HPIN + ASAP and no HPIN or ASAP.
