Abstract
The European Community celebrated its 30th anniversary in 1988. This title in the Economist pocket series, sets out the origins of the Community and the ideals of the founding fathers. The book explains the various institutions and activities and looks at internal controversies and external issues, such as the role of the Community in the modern world order.
