Abstract

Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) has proven to be an effective treatment for patients with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) [1]. ECAP-controlled (evoked compound action potential) closed-loop SCS measures and responds to neural activation of the spinal cord [2]. ECAP-controlled SCS has previously demonstrated to be more superior in pain relief in non-CRPS patients compared to traditional ‘open-loop’ SCS, with a more consistent neuronal activation of the spinal cord [2]. In this study, preliminary results of a data collection study in CRPS patients treated with closed-loop SCS (Data release) from the Erasmus Medical Centre in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, are presented (Netherlands Trial Register, ID: NL7889).
