Abstract

In patients with discogenic low back pain (DLBP), the intervertebral disc degenerates, and induces chronic pain 1,2. There is currently no there is currently no reliable, single long-term therapy available 3. For such patients, neuromodulation might be an option. The Burst stimulation paradigm has proven to be a viable option for patients with a wide variety of chronic pain syndromes. Data regarding the long-term effects of Burst spinal cord stimulation (SCS) for treatment of CD-LBP are currently lacking.
