Abstract

Implantable cardiac defibrillators (ICDs) are the mainstay for the prevention of sudden cardiac death (SCD) in high-risk patients. Dialysis patients have been excluded from major clinical trials, and thus data in this population are scant. No study has reported on outcomes of ICD therapy during hemodialysis.
