Abstract

The emerging data suggest that the incidence of Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIEDs) infections is on the rise. Infected CIEDs are frequently associated with native or prosthetic valvular infective endocarditis. The effect of concomitant valvular vegetation in the presence of infected CIED is not well characterized.
