Abstract

Cardiac sarcoidosis is variable in its clinical manifestations and is characterized by challenges in the diagnostics, treatment and prognosis assessment. Due to increased awareness and advances in diagnostic tools, a rising incidence of the disease has been observed. This article presents the developments and necessary background knowledge based on the current guidelines. A case report of a 50-year-old male patient with sudden onset of ventricular tachycardia serves as an illustrative case.
